 In Annual Conference

This year we celebrated our 40th birthday at our Time for Marriage Conference!

Watch the video and look at our Facebook photos!

Throughout it’s 40 year history from when Time for Marriage was founded by Richard & Joyce Conner, it’s strong leadership by John Kerr and now with Andy & Fiona Banes heading up the organisation, there has been a clear sense of calling all the way and the team have never let go of their desire to spread the message of God’s plan for marriage far and wide.

We felt it was time to celebrate!

So we did just that at our Annual Conference and were blessed by the caliber of speakers and delegates who came along and with God’s help made the weekend powerful and unforgettable! We enjoyed a fabulous Gala dinner with everyone dressing up & looking stunning. The after dinner entertainment was provided by the stand up comedian Paul Kerenza who was hilarious!

Nicky & Sila Lee – Relationship Central

Nicky & Sila shared about how The Marriage Course is spreading to parts of the world they could never have imagined (especially Italy & Japan). Community and church leaders are adopting it, as part of their culture to make much needed change to their societies.

Dave & Liz Percival – 2-in-2-1

Dave & Liz shared how the cultural view of marriage has changed sliding from marriage being important to marriage being something that may be achieved in the end. They encouraged Time for Marriage to keep focussing on God’s plan for marriage.

Mal Calladine

Mal spoke to us about giving what you’ve got and generosity being the spark of revival. Liz Evans who was with us last year had been seeking the Lord on our behalf and sent a beautiful prophecy.

Sir Paul Coleridge – The Marriage Foundation

Sir Paul blew us away with his talk about the Marriage Foundation explaining the importance of having an orgnisation that wasn’t linked to anything – government or faith groups so that the media and government will look to them for impartial information. Already this is happening.

Rob Parsons – Care for the Family

Rob spoke about not giving up. He urged individuals to keep going and not become disheartened when thing are tough. He spoke from the heart understanding that things do get difficult at times even when you’re in the centre of a strong ministry.

If you weren’t able to be there you can see what we got up to in our programme.

What people said about our conference:

  • We found it helpful hearing about other marriage organisations & what is happening in many places for marriage ministry today.
  • We thought the speakers were incredible – all bringing same message – we can make a difference – Praise God.
  • We loved being with other couples in a positive and encouraging environment.
  • The Holy Spirit touched me massively. Thank you and thank you Jesus.
